Q:  CAN I RE-COLOR IMMEDIATELY AFTER COLOR REMOVING?

A:  For the best results, we suggest waiting at least 48 hours before re-coloring. However, you can Color right away after Color Removing. If you plan to Color, we suggest you select a Hair Color at least 2 shades Lighter (i.e. If you want to be a 5 select a 7).

Q:  I HAVE BLACK HAIR THAT I HAVE COLORED FOR AWHILE. WILL COLOR REMOVER GET ME BACK TO MY ORIGINAL COLOR?

A:  Let's be honest, Color Remover is amazing, but its not a miracle worker. Black is the hardest Color to remove from Hair, and probably will not work with just one application.

Q:  I HAVE LONG, THICK HAIR. HOW MUCH PRODUCT WILL I NEED?

A:  For Color Remover to be most affective, it is important that there is enough product to cover the Hair. We suggest using at least 2 boxes of Color Remover.

Q:  COLOR REMOVER REMOVED MY HAIR COLOR BUT LEFT IT WITH ORANGE OR YELLOW LOOKING (GOLD TONES). IS THAT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN?

A:  Yes. This means the Color Remover has worked. The orange or yellow tones left in your Hair is from the Developer that was used when you Colored your Hair previously. This can simply be fixed by either re-Coloring the Hair to the shade you want to be or using the My Hairdresser Toning Kit.

Q:  I USED THE COLOR REMOVER AND IT WORKED THE FIRST DAY BUT THEN GOT DARKER OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS?

A:  For the Color Remover to work it needs to be thoroughly rinsed out of the Hair. We suggest rinsing for 5 minutes. When the Hair hasn’t been rinsed long enough this problem can sometimes happen.

Q:  IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP THE COLOR REMOVING PROCESS?

A:  We recommend wrapping the Hair in cling wrap during the removing process.

Q:  CAN COLOR REMOVER BE USED ON ALL BRANDS OF PERMANENT HAIR COLOR?

A:  No. While most Permanent Hair Colors are fine to be removed, some contain metallic salts and dyes that Color Remover cannot remove from the hair. To find out if your Hair Color contains metallic salts simply check the ingredients section on the box.

Q:  IS THE MY HAIRDRESSER PERMANENT HAIR COLOR REMOVER SAFE TO USE?

A:  Yes, of course. However we always recommend doing a Skin Allergy Test before Color Removing and follow the instructions.
